Atomizers / Coils - The Flavour House

Let’s talk about Atomizers!

The atomizer or coil is the heart of your vape kit and all the detail that relates to how your vape feels depends on what kind of coil you are using.

Each particular tank has its own specific selection of coils, some are even compatible from one tank to another, which can give you more options to choose from.

The most common way to distinguish coils is through resistance which is generally engraved on the outside of the coil’s casing.

When it comes to picking the right resistance for your coil, here are some pointers to keep in mind;

High resistance coils (around or above 1 ohm) are for high PG liquids, and use low power to deliver a cigarette-like feel and give the ability to use up to 18mg of nicotine.

Medium resistance coils (0.6 ohm to under 1 ohm) are best used with liquids with a 50/50 VG/PG ratio, with mods that produce medium wattage, to give a smooth all-round vaping experience.

Low resistance coils (under 0.4 ohm) are for high power vaping with liquids that are high in VG and contain little to no nicotine. These coils are made to deliver large amounts of thick vapour filled with rich flavour.

You can also find different build options, with variations in the material used for the coil, the amount of coils inside the build and the thickness of each coil. These variations then apply in the way your vape tastes, how restrictive the airflow is, and even whether the focus is on flavour richness, vapour production, or both. When it comes to choosing the right variables for you, the most ideal thing to do would be trying out the variety and seeing which feels best for you.

Useful tips:

  • Always prime new coils before use (let them soak with liquid properly before firing)
  • Do not exceed the maximum wattage engraved on the coil for longevity.
  • Coils should be replaced every 2-4 weeks.
  • The more flavours you use on the same coil, the less it will last.

Each coil is sold and priced individually
