What are Flavour Concentrates?

Concentrates are artificial aroma flavourings, generally diluted in Propylene glycol. These flavourings can be used to add some taste to your vape, and occasionally even some dishes. When it comes to vaping flavours, you have so many options to choose from, and the best part is you can even mix your own original blend, creating your desired mix of flavours.

Flavor concentrates generally come in three main categories, such as; Fruity flavours, Dessert flavours, and Tobacco flavours. These can be specific flavours made to replicate the particular taste of a single item, such as Strawberry, frosted donut, or RY-4 (dry tobacco.,

There are also a few different flavours that do not fall under any of the mentioned categories, like sweetener, milk, koolada (coolant), and other unique flavourings that are solely meant to be blended with other flavours.

However, you can occasionally find pre-mixed blends of numerous flavours mixed into one very particular taste, for example, Heisenberg, which is a mix of forest fruits and berries, blended with anise and coolant (a.k.a. ice), creating a unique, fine, yet subtle sweet tasting fruity flavour with an icy aniseed twist. Another example would be strawberry cheesecake, which is a mix between fruits and desserts.

Important! Flavour concentrates should never be vaped on their own since they are highly concentrated and meant to be diluted with BASE E-LIQUID. 

How to mix concentrates into liquids?

To make your own liquid, you need the flavour concentrate, the base, and the nicotine (optional).

After preparing your base, you only need to add 10 to 15% of your total mix, in order to get the optimal amount of flavouring into your e-liquid bottle. Let’s say you’re mixing 100ml of liquid. In this case, 10 to 15ml of that amount needs to be flavour concentrate, depending on how strong the concentrate is, and how strong you want your final product to taste.

Quick tip! Do not forget that when it comes to flavour concentrates, less is always a safer bet than more, if you’re unsure on how much flavouring to add, start  with a small amount, and if not strong enough after mixing, add more. Like this it’s better than putting way too much flavouring in your liquid, because once you’ve mixed it in, you can’t take it back out, unless you add more base, for which you would  need more bottle space.
