Let’s Talk about Mods!
If you’re looking to build your own vape, the mod is a crucial choice you need to make, so we’re here to teach you about them. There’s a lot of variables to choose from when it comes to choosing your mod, and once you’ve picked out the right specifications there will be various options for you to choose from numerous world renowned brands.
Mod types
There’s three main types of mods, low, medium and high power (more information on that in the vape kits section). You can also choose whether you have built in or removable batteries. Removable batteries give you the advantage of being able to carry around charged spares and replace after long use, while built-in batteries give you the advantage of having a more compact device.
Mod Wattage
Mods vary in wattages according to their types. One can classify mod types as follows;
Low power mod wattage - <40W
Low power mods come at a low budget, most of the time have a built-in battery and give an output of up to around 40 watts.
Medium power mod wattage - 40W - 80W
Medium power mods come at a mid range budget, sometimes have a built in battery, but most of the time have space for a removable single 18650 battery. These mods have an output range of up to 75-80 watts.
High Power mod wattage - 80W - 230W+
High power mods are the top of the range. They’re designed to produce super high amounts of power which only rebuildable atomizers would be able to handle. These mods come anywhere from dual to triple to even quad 18650 battery setups and rarely come with a built-in battery, since they use a lot of charge. These beasts of the vape world can vape at more than 200 watts, and some can even do 300!
